Today’s cocktail was created in connection with the summer giveaway with Joie de Vivre Hotels who are giving followers a chance to win a 2 night stay at one of their beautiful properties when you post what you’re sipping on, who you’re sipping with or where you’re sipping on instagram with #jdvsummersips in the caption as well as going to their account @jdvhotels and following them.
The cocktail is a riff on the delicious Aperol Spritz where we have simply used the Pimm’s Blackberry & Elderflower in place of Aperol to give it a little extra kick. By doing this I think this Spritz really has a lot more depth in flavor and it certainly kicked up the bitterness initially, but that’s not a bad thing and we were able to balance it out very easy.
Recipe:
- 2 ounces Prosecco
- 1.5 ounces Pimm’s Blackberry & Elderflower
- Splash of soda
Method:
- Fill a wine glass with ice
- Pour in Prosecco
- Add Pimm’s Blackberry & Elderflower
- Top with soda
