White Currant Negroni

I have been craving a Negroni recently but wanted to add something that made it summery. I love the bitter flavors and wanted something that would complement the already fabulous flavor profile. With that being said I went to the farmers market and found some lovely currants.

, White Currant Negroni

I added the currants to the negroni because the sour flavor added a summery flavor. The garnish of currants makes this cocktail look so pretty! I would serve this as a before dinner drink. Another plus about this cocktail is that white currants offer vitamins B and C plus are high in iron and copper. So, you could consider this a “healthy” drink for summer. Cheers!

, White Currant Negroni


  • 1.5 ounces Campari
  • 1.5 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce of sweet vermouth
  • 12 white currants
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Garnish: currants


  1. In a glass add Campari, gin, vermouth, and currants. Muddle ingredients.
  2. Fill glass with several ice cubes and strain mixture over ice
  3. Garnish with currants
