I have been craving a Negroni recently but wanted to add something that made it summery. I love the bitter flavors and wanted something that would complement the already fabulous flavor profile. With that being said I went to the farmers market and found some lovely currants.

I added the currants to the negroni because the sour flavor added a summery flavor. The garnish of currants makes this cocktail look so pretty! I would serve this as a before dinner drink. Another plus about this cocktail is that white currants offer vitamins B and C plus are high in iron and copper. So, you could consider this a “healthy” drink for summer. Cheers!
