This weekend I’m heading to Asheville, NC to go on an ugly Christmas sweater bar crawl so I thought I would try out my outfit ahead of time and mix up a cocktail for the occasion. If you’ve been following along, you would have noticed a lot of Negroni variations lately, and that’s because the color Campari brings to the drink is absolutely perfect for the holiday season and they’re just delicious.
This variation makes use of some amazing brandy from Italy that brings great depth and offers a profile of vanilla, honey and baking spice that is wonderfully contrasting to the Campari. It is then rounded out by a Spanish vermouth that shows quite a bit of dry citrus and some herbaceous notes. The combination of these 3 unique products comes together absolutely deliciously!
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
- Stir to chill and combine ingredients
- Strain into a brandy snifter over an ice cube
- Garnish & Enjoy!
