Toast to the End of Summer

Here are some great recipes from The Botanist Gin, for the end of summer. Featuring 22 hand-foraged botanicals, The Botanist is a great gin to mix with fresh, seasonal ingredients – perfect for Labor Day weekend, backyard BBQs and rooftop get-togethers.


Backyard Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – .75 oz.
  • Fino Sherry – .75 oz.
  • Simple Syrup – .5 oz.
  • Strawberries – 2-5 (halved)
  • Mint Leaves – 5-7 leaves

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice and shake
  3. Strain into a Rocks Glass
  4. Garnish with mint leaves or halved strawberry

The Secret Garden

Ingredients:

  • The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – .75 oz.
  • Elderflower Liqueur – .75 oz.
  • Sparkling Rosé – 1.5 oz.

Directions:

  1. Combine The Botanist Gin, Fresh Lemon Juice and Elderflower Liqueur in a cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice and shake
  3. Strain into a Flute Glass
  4. Top with Sparkling Rosé
  5. Garnish with a lemon peel

Lavender Honey Fizz

Ingredients:

  • The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – .75 oz.
  • White Wine Aperitif – .75 oz.
  • Honey Water – .5 oz. (1:1 honey to water)
  • Rosemary Bitters – 4 dashes
  • Soda Water – 1.5 oz.
  • Fresh lavender – 1-2 sprigs

Directions:

  1. Combine The Botanist Gin, Lemon Juice, White Wine Aperitif, Honey and Bitters in a cocktail shaker
  2. Add ice and shake
  3. Strain over ice into a Rocks Glass and top with Soda Water
  4. Garnish with lavender
