Tales of the Cocktail Foundation to Open Storyteller x Tales event space and Tales of the Cocktail Bar in 2019 at 129 Camp Street in New Orleans.

Beginning January 1, 2019, Tales of the Cocktail Foundation will lease 129 Camp Street in New Orleans, Louisiana (currently Pigeon & Prince). The new concept, “Storyteller x Tales,” (verbally read “Storyteller by Tales,”) will serve as both an elegant and versatile private event space and, in the months to follow, a seven-days-a-week, full-service cocktail bar, “Tales of the Cocktail Bar.”

“This initiative is going to significantly expand the footprint of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation,”  said Gary Solomon Jr., Co-Chair of the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Board of Directors. “Historically, the organization was able to reach this audience of both industry and enthusiasts alike a few weeks a year, and now, we’ll be able to further the Foundation’s efforts to educate, advance, and support the community 365 days a year, on a broader scale.”

In an effort to help celebrated local, national, and international bar talent convene, collaborate, and learn from each other, Storyteller will be home to an ongoing, recurring event series. Curated by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, this series will call upon talent from all parts of the globe and provide them a space to connect and innovate. There will be educational opportunities for New Orleans’ local hospitality community, in keeping with the Foundation’s core goals and values. The ticketed events will be open to the entire community. The first event in the series will kick-off in February (date TBA).

“Focusing on year-round programming as a vehicle for creating opportunity is such a natural extension of the Tales of the Cocktail brand,” said Caroline Rosen, Executive Director of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. “One way we plan to approach this is by curating special events that attract national and international talent to New Orleans, bringing global perspective and insights into our community to engage, uplift, and inspire.”

Later in 2019, the full bar concept will be introduced to the space. While Tales of the Cocktail Bar will be steeped in New Orleans tradition and pay reverence to the classics, it simultaneously aims to be forward-looking, embracing the industry’s evolution and progress.

“Tales of the Cocktail, by design, strives to connect people who are passionate about cocktails,” said Neal Bodenheimer, Co-Chair of the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Board of Directors. “We wanted to take that a step further and create a space where the New Orleans community and visitors alike could convene over well-made drinks year-round. Tales of the Cocktail Bar will offer a platform for local, national and international bar talent and a home for all people who love cocktails.”
