One of my favorite cocktails is the classic French 75! It comes to the table with everything I adore: Champagne, gin, and lemon. I love drinking champagne after a long day but so many times I forget about ordering this classic gem! To amp this classic up a notch I have added beautiful strawberries and a rhubarb simple syrup.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce of gin
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon of rhubarb simple syrup (*recipe below)
- 3-4 ounces of Michelle Brut
- 1/2 cup of ice
Instructions:
- Add gin, lemon juice, rhubarb simple syrup, and ice to cocktail shaker
- Shake mixture then strain into champagne glass
- Top with Michelle Brut
- Garnish with a strawberry

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of chopped rhubarb
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
Instructions:
- In a saucepan combine sugar, water and rhubarb
- Let it boil for until sugar dissolves
- Strain mixture and let it cool
- Extra syrup may be stored in a glass container for up to a week
