St. Anne’s is a new American restaurant located in NoHo and named for the Thrift Store that occupied its space on Magnolia Boulevard for 31 years. Kevin Grigorian, the creator of Eat Noho and most recently, Blacksmiths DTLA, again collaborates with Chef Edgar Ramos, Head Chef of Blacksmiths, to introduce an American cuisine eatery that infuses Italian and Latin spice and flavor into classic dishes.
The 3300 square foot space, situated next door to Grigorian’s Eat in the emerging NoHo Arts District, showcases a rich palette of colors, fabrics, and materials, which juxtapose elements of bohemian with luxe and industrial seamlessly. Red brick walls are offset by light herringbone floors and a marble and brass bar that runs half the length of the room – an open floor plan with exposed kitchen, also lined in brass. Local NoHo based mural artist, Phill Bourque, has created a unique piece of art entitled “Bird nd tha Beez,” a female head and shoulders work, visible from every corner of the space.
The menu features a variety of American dishes, that have been re-imagined with a Southern theme and Ramos’ native Latin heat and spice. From Smoked Ribs to Sweet Corn & Smoked Bacon Tortellini made from house-made pasta, a Lobster or Patatone pizza or Green Tomato Sliders, this menu is truly a patchwork or Americana, presented alongside an atmosphere that offers a nod to the thrift store history of the space. St Anne’s spirits program will be led by Deysi Alvarez.
St. Anne’s opens this week for dinner service.
