SOLO Cranberry Mule

As you may very well know, I love entertaining, and one of the best things about entertaining in the evenings is when you can get your friends and family together and sit out under the stars and enjoy some drinks while catching up. I’m in North Carolina with my family for the holidays and although it’s beautiful outside it’s also really cold so we decided to rug up and get a bonfire started to keep ourselves warm.

What also kept us warm was the spicy ginger in this seasonal Cranberry Mule, but we couldn’t use our usual glassware around the fire so we got some SOLO Clear Plastic Cups from the store and we were set to go. The Cranberry Mule has all the traditional ingredients but with the seasonal addition of cranberry juice. Depending on which cranberry juice you get it can be a little sweet but I found a great sugar free brand that delivers the citrus kick and keeps this cocktail balanced.

Check out these 5 preparation steps to holiday entertaining:

Step 1: Use/bring SOLO Cups so everyone can see the beautiful cocktail and glass can be high maintenance especially outside at a bonfire.

Step 2: Pre make the garnishes and bring a bottle of freshly squeezed lime juice.

Step 3: Always have plenty of ice, this means getting one extra bag than you think you will need.

Step 4: Make cocktails with vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice and ginger beer.

Step 5: Cheers!

Recipe:

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • Top with ginger beer

Method:

  1. Combine vodka, cranberry juice and lime juice in a SOLO Cup with ice
  2. Stir to mix ingredients
  3. Top with ginger beer
  4. Garnish & Enjoy!
