As it’s the official Negroni Week, which means this week drinking a delicious cocktail is actually a great way to give back to a charity near you. This year we have partnered with Uncle Val’s Restorative Gin and mixed up this new Rose Negroni Sour to share with you all. Now, with more than 10,000 venues participating all over the world, it’s bigger and better than ever, so if you’re heading out for a cocktail with friends check out the official Negroni Week venue finder and visit a venue near you that is giving back.
The Rose Negroni Sour is my present to you, with all the deliciousness of the classic you know and love, with a little something extra thrown in for good measure. Of course, this cocktail wouldn’t be possible without the gin, and Uncle Val’s Restorative Gin is a perfect gin for a Negroni as it offers delicious crisp citrus notes on the palate along with fresh cucumber and finishes with a hint of rose. Working with these notes in mind I accentuated these notes with some additional rose water, as well as the addition of fresh lemon and orange juices that bring everything together and balance the concoction.
