Raspberry French 75

One of my favorite cocktails is the classic French 75! It comes to the table with everything I adore: Champagne, gin, and lemon. I love drinking champagne after a long day but so many times I forget about ordering this classic gem! To amp this classic up a notch I have added the addition of beautiful raspberries. This simple syrup adds flavor and a beautiful color! Let’s cheers to gin and Champagne!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce of gin
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon of raspberry simple syrup (*recipe below)
  • 3-4 ounces of Champagne
  • 1/2 cup of ice

Instructions:

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, raspberry simple syrup, and ice to cocktail shaker
  2. Shake mixture then strain into champagne flute
  3. Top with champagne

*Raspberry Simple Syrup:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of raspberries
  • 1 cup of sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan combine sugar and raspberries
  2. Let it boil for until sugar dissolves
  3. Strain mixture and let it cool
  4. Extra syrup may be stored in a glass container for up to a week
