To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day today I created this Irish Negroni as I love some good Irish whiskey and one of my favorite classic cocktails to create variations of, is the Negroni. This is a really simple cocktail to create variations of and today I swapped out the gin and replaced it with Irish whiskey. Typically a Negroni with whisky is called a Boulevarier but as I used Irish whiskey this time I thought I would refer it to it’s original namesake; the Negroni.
Recipe:
- 1 ounce Irish whiskey (Jameson Cask Mates)
- 1 ounce Campari
- 1 ounce Sweet Vermouth (Punt e Mes)
Method:
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with 1 cup of ice
- Stir to chill and combine ingredients
- Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice
- Garnish with an orange twist
- Enjoy!
