Hibiscus Gin Sour

by James Stevenson

Gin is all the rage for me right now. I wanted to share a gin sour recipe that was summery and light. This hibiscus gin sour is perfect for warm weather. The hibiscus adds a little sweetness and compliments the gin with the floral component. I would love to make this on a weekend night to upgrade my typical glass of wine. Make your Monday beautiful with gin and hibiscus!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of Plymouth Gin
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 ounce of hibiscus simple syrup

Garnish: Hibiscus Petals

Instructions:

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, egg white, and simple syrup to shaker
  2. Shake for 20 seconds then add ice and shake for 20 more seconds
  3. Strain into serving glass
