New Orleans, LA October 23, 2018: The 92nd annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book has been unveiled, and of the 823 holiday gifts gracing its 275 glossy pages, just three are made in Louisiana – all by El Guapo, a New Orleans-based beverage company. All three products are available via NeimanMarcus.com and Horchow.com, as well as inside retail locations nationwide.
El Guapo manufactures, bottles and distributes a line of bitters, syrups and cocktail mixers. El Guapo products are made in small batches and locally sourced whenever possible. They are non-GMO and vegetarian, too. The Good Food Foundation recognized the company with two 2018 Good Food Awards – given to commend tasty, authentic and responsibly produced food products. The company is 100% female owned.
Dubbed the “Rolls Royce of Tonic” by Neiman Marcus, their British Tonic Syrup is featured in the catalog alongside a seasonal favorite, Candy Cane syrup, and the 2018 Good Food Award-winning Rose Cordial.
Locally, El Guapo Tonic is used behind the bars of Cochon, Patois and Doris Metropolitan while the Rose Cordial is a key ingredient in Compere Lapin’s Andromeda – the #1 selling cocktail on their menu. Other El Guapo products are featured behind the bars of Saba, Brennan’s, Willa Jean, Bywater American Bistro and more as well as select restaurants nationwide. Renowned chefs David Chang (Momofuku, NYC) and Gregory Marchand (Frenchie, Paris) regularly use the brand.
El Guapo products are distributed as far away as Australia and New Zealand. El Guapo products can be purchased locally at select Rouses locations, Keife & Co., Martin’s Wine Seller, Coutelier, Seasoned and NOLA Boards.
