Earl Grey 75

Today I am sharing is a twist on the classic French 75 with Plymouth Gin! Recently, I have been obsessed with Earl Grey Tea and wanted to add it to one of my cocktails. The French 75 was the perfect candidate for the addition of Earl Grey simple syrup. The perfumed Earl Grey essence adds a delicate flavor while enhancing the taste of the already wonderful French 75 cocktail. Get ready for your taste buds to explode!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce of Plymouth Gin
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon of Earl Grey simple syrup (*recipe below)
  • 3-4 ounces of champagne
  • 1/2 cup of ice

Garnish: Lemon Slice

Instructions:

  1. Add Plymouth Gin, lemon juice, Earl Grey simple syrup, and ice to cocktail shaker
  2. Shake mixture then strain into champagne flute
  3. Top with champagne

*Recipe: Earl Grey Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of strong brewed Earl Grey tea
  • 1 cup of sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan combine sugar and tea
  2. Let it boil for until sugar dissolves Strain mixture and let it cool
  3. Extra syrup may be stored in a glass container for up to a week
