January 1st was National Bloody Mary and I partnered with V8® 100% Vegetable Juice to host a fabulous brunch. I decided to have a fiesta for my guests as well as a DIY Bloody Mary bar that included all the best garnishes. This particular kind of brunch is very easy to put together and prepare the day before. For the fiesta I made a DIY taco bar that included shredded chicken, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, onions, a variety of salsas and mini seven layer dips.
The preparation for the Bloody Mary bar included chopping garnishes the night before and storing them in zip loc bags for easy organization the next day. The day of I organized all the Bloody Mary garnishes in a variety of cocktail glasses then set out all the toppings for the taco bar. Guests then arrived and loved the presentation of both the DIY Bloody Mary bar as well as the taco bar. In addition to the DIY stations I had a custom-made Bloody Mary piñata to really make the party fun. After brunch guests took turns breaking open the piñata, which was a fun activity! - 22 ½ cups of V8® 100% Vegetable Juice
- 11 ¼ cups of vodka
- 1/2 cup of lime juice
- 1/2 cup of hot sauce
- 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
Garnish: all the things on a skewer and a rimmed glass with a chili salt
- Mix V8® 100% Vegetable Juice, vodka, lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a large pitcher
- Chop and prepare garnishes including radishes, limes, cheese, bacon, pepper slices, pickles, pickled onions, celery, green onions, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomato’s, and cilantro
