Chili Frozen Avo-rita

When visiting Argentina recently I was obsessed with all the fresh, delicious avocados and was using them in as many dishes as possible. Obviously once I came home I was still on an avocado high so I wanted to find a great way to incorporate it into some delicious summer cocktails.

While shopping for ingredients at my local store I remembered the old school Frozen BACARDI® Mixers and thought it would be awesome to bring them back and once I found them I saw they had a Margarita so I grabbed a few packages along with my avocados and headed home to experiment.

I quickly discovered that avocado is so overpowering in drinks and to find the balance I only needed a tablespoon worth in each drink but once I figured that out things went a lot smoother. I now had a tasty Avocado Margarita by just mixing the Frozen BACARDI® Mixers with tequila and a tablespoon of avocado, but I was not yet satisfied. Now I was reminiscing about my time in Mexico with a Margarita in my hand but something was missing, thinking back to Mexico it was easy to distinguish the missing piece of the puzzle, chili; every meal in Mexico had a lot spice; and if it didn’t, I added it.

I can’t wait to unleash this drink over the warmer months, it was so simple to create by just mixing the tequila, avocado and Frozen BACARDI® mixer together and finishing it all off with a delicious chili salt rim.This is a sponsored post with Frozen BACARDI® Mixers. Method:

  1. Rim your glass with the chili salt mix
  2. Combine tequila, avocado and Frozen BACARDI® Mixers Margarita in a blender with ½ a cup of ice
  3. Let it spin for a few seconds to combine everything
  4. Pour into your glass
  5. Enjoy!
