Blood Orange Rum Sour

by James Stevenson

I am obsessed with rum right now. I love the flavors and the drinks make me automatically think of somewhere warm and tropical! Today we are talking about Jamaican rum and rum sours. Again, my obsession with rum sours and blood oranges has hit an all time high. I love the intense flavor of blood oranges and the spiciness of the rum. It is like time stops when you take a sip and unwind. The rum is Appleton Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum, which not only compliments this cocktail perfectly but also elevates it to another level. It has notes of orange peel, nutmeg, vanilla and hazelnut this creates a very flavorful rum. Let’s start shaking up some awesome rum drinks this week! Cheers!
