Spiked Ciders

To make this winter cocktail, start by pouring one gallon of apple cider in your slow cooker. Then, add one thinly sliced orange. Cut two inches of ginger into small pieces and add it to the cider. Then, add five sticks of cinnamon. Grab your tea ball and put five anise pods and one tablespoon of whole cloves in it, and add it to the slow cooker. Let cook on low for four hours. Then, add one and a half cups of your favorite alcohol. Cook another 10 minutes and serve. A cider pairs wonderfully with a spicy meal, or cinnamon dessert. Bring three-quarters of a cup of warm water to a boil in a teapot. Then, add 1.5 ounces whiskey, two tablespoons of honey, and two tablespoons lemon juice. Remove from heat and stir until honey dissolves. Sip and adjust honey and lemon to your taste. A hot toddy is perfect drink for relaxing before bed on a dark winter evening.

Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is especially perfect for a holiday party, try hosting one outside to really enjoy the spirit of the season. Boozy hot chocolate is perfect after a day playing in the snow. Hennessey hot cocoa is an easy-to-make recipe, and since you can make this right in your favorite winter mug, there is no mess to clean up afterward. Combine 1.5 ounces of Hennessey, three drops vanilla extract, six ounces hot chocolate, and a shot of spiced syrup. Heat in the microwave for a minute. Then, top with heavy whipped cream and add a garnish of grated chocolate. Williams Sonoma recommends having your chocolate at room temperature before grating.
