St. Germain and Grapefruit Sparkler

by James Stevenson

I have an obsession with anything that sparkles and that includes drinkable delights. I can’t get enough of prosecco, cava, and champagne all at once; or one at a time. I love a good glass of bubbles before a meal or on a Sunday afternoon. Beyond that I think it is fun to dress these sparkles up in something fun! Today that is elderflower liqueur and grapefruit juice. I cannot get enough of St. Germain it is so fragrant and has a beautiful taste. Adding that essence to champagne is so amazing and the addition of grapefruit really makes this drink so yummy. It is also pretty low alcohol so it is perfect for day drinking or an afternoon wind down. The thyme sprig adds a small amount of herbal flavor to the drink and makes it look so fancy. In a hurry you could purchase grapefruit juice and use that to make this drink. So, you could have a beautiful drink in 1, 2, 3 and your guests will be so impressed. St. Germain they will say, very intriguing and exotic especially if you set out the bottle. The bottle itself is so so beautiful but the booze inside is the real gem. Bring some sparkle to your life with this easy to make St. Germain Sparkler. Transport yourself to France and drink it up! Sante!
