I am currently obsessed with everything tequila. Today I am sharing a fun and semi tropical tasting drink made with pineapple. This drink will turn even the gloomiest day into smiles and sunshine. Ok, I am taking it bit far but you get the idea. The drink continues with my series of “healthy” tequila drinks. Using fresh juices instead of sugary mixes really ups the quality of the drink. There are also a lot of fresh squeezed juices readily available in markets these days. Fresher ingredients equal a better tasting cocktail. Let’s juice this together! Cheers!

Recipe: Pineapple Tequila Sour

  • 1.5 ounces of tequila
  • 2 ounces of fresh pineapple juice
  • ½ tablespoon of agave
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup of ice

Garnish: pineapple

  • In a cocktail shaker combine tequila, pineapple juice, agave, lemon juice, and egg white
  • Shake until foamy then add ice and shake until chilled
  • Strain mixture into glass
  • Garnish with pineapple

Yields: 1 serving
