In winter I love using citrus and making margaritas with fresh citrus is so easy! I created these Burnt Citrus Margaritas to use up some of my favorite winter citrus and they just look so beautiful and delieicous. I also burnt citrus slices to give the cocktails a little extra flavor and for the garnish to really make it pop!

Recipe:

  • 2 ounces tequila or mezcal (mezcal makes it extra smokey)
  • 1 ounce citrus of choice (Lime, Orange, Lemon or Grapefruit)
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • Salt (for rimming)
